Hidden Treasures: Classic Garden Wedding Style

Modern Wedding Posted: April 20, 2017

Nestled in a woodland clearing, the latest styled shoot from Ivy & Bleu brings classic wedding elegance into an unexpected setting.

The wedding styling conjures a “Secret Garden” kind of ambiance with an elusive charm. The ceremony is set under a timber arch covered in vines and roses with a scattering of rose petals and white draped tiffany chairs.

“Working with Coolibah Downs in the release of their new Garden Package offering we wanted to design something that was on trend yet a little different to the current Pinterest trends,” says stylist Mandi of Ivy & Bleu.

The outdoor reception is lit up with festoon lights and dazzling fairy lights encircle the tree behind the bridal table. The wedding is decorated in an enchanting but simple style with a focus on natural elements and gold accents.

Lee Calleja Thomas Photography masterfully captured the divine light, showcasing just how magical an early evening wedding can be.

The style team decided to take a more traditional approach to the reception, opting for circular tables rather than the standard rectangular design.

“We styled with simple grey linens and gold highlights paired perfectly with seasonal white and cream florals for a classically elegant look,” says Mandi.

Ivy and Bleu identify the wedding cake from Hansel & Gretel as the styling ‘piece de resistance’. The gold three-tiered masterpiece is suspended mid air with a perspex installation.

Further enhancing the natural theme, a thick floral garland similar to the ceremony arbour is strewn across the bridal table. This design is inspired by Pantone colour of the year “Greenery”. Its rich colour is a beautiful contrast against the neutral linen.
