Emily and Zane’s love reached new heights as the couple took a magical helicopter tour to high in the mountains of New Zealand on their big day.
Lucky Eleven…
“Zane and I have been together for 11 years this May. We met in year 11 in high school and became really great friends. We graduated high school together, attended university together, travelled overseas together, for several years we were inseparable”, Emily recalls.
“However, it has not necessarily been an easy journey, with several stints of long distance relationships. The time apart was as difficult as it was, made us realise that what we cherished most in our lives is each other.”
“It is love that ultimately led us back together and have continued to support each other in following our dreams and achieving our goals as a team.” – Emily
Little and large…
From the outset, the couple had always envisioned a large engagement party, followed by a more intimate wedding day, “we wanted our closest friends and immediate family to be a part of our day”, says Emily.
Neutral and natural…
Blown away by the natural beauty of New Zealand during their travels, the couple opted for a private property on the overlooking the unspoiled views of Lake Wanaka to say ‘I do’.
“I’m really happy we stuck to a simple natural theme with a neutral colour palette. We really wanted to utilise the open space we had and really let the natural beauty of our surroundings be the overarching theme. By having very little decoration, we were able to create a relaxed vibe at the property.“
Festive vibes…
Christmas has always been a special time for both families, to keep these special traditions the couple planned a banquet style feast fit for a king! “It is something our families have been doing together for most of the time we have been an item, so we wanted to emulate that for our wedding dinner.”
Dust pink and navy…
Both the bride and groom had four groomsmen and bridesmaids each. The girls wore dust pink gowns from ASOS, whilst Zane and his groomsmen looked dapper in Navy suits and bow ties.
The bride shone in her Made With Love Bridal gown. With it’s feminine lace and plunging neckline, paired with a cathedral length veil, Emily exuded beauty and class. “I knew it was the gown for me when my sister said “it’s perfect, you look like you,” she says.
In 40 years the couple hope to…
“Have had a wonderful life travelling and had a family of our own, be successful in our careers and most of all be happy and still madly in love.”
