Chloé and Danny’s story began like a modern day fairytale, falling in love the moment they met. This wonderful couple opted for a black and white themed day, trickled with details of modern luxe magic.
On A Night Like This…
Chloé and Danny met on a night out with friends in beautiful Melbourne. “Danny and I ended up spending the night together laughing and dancing endlessly. Still to this day, I say that the night we met was one of the best nights of my life” Chloé tells us.
Surprise Me…
The romantic proposal came as a big surprise to Chloé, with her family and friends knowing two months before about the plan. While Chloé believed the couple were simply attending a party, Danny had several surprises in store. After walking into a private room Danny had booked, Chloé spotted the florals filling the room and balloons spelling out ‘Will you marry me?’. Afterwards, Chloé was surprised with all of her family and friends celebrating in a private bar.
Black And Gold…
From the start, the couple opted for a theme which encompassed a classic and simple style. “We think more is less. We went for a modern luxe theme with a colour scheme of white and black with hints of gold.”
Bridal Vision…
Chloé’s bridal vision was brought to life by designer Steven Khalil. “I wanted simple detail with structure to compliment my figure.” The mermaid style gown featured a soft floral lace and delicate beading. Finishing off the look was a detachable tulle train and a magical matching veil. The groom looked dapper in a traditional style tuxedo designed by Alex Goodman.
Family Style…
The couple surrounded themselves with family on the day. Chloé was joined by her sister as maid of honour, with Danny having his brother as best man. Other members of the bridal party were each cousins of the couple. The bridesmaids style was kept classic and timeless, with fitted, floor length white gowns. With a simple up-do and one shoulder detail, these gowns matched the timeless feel of the day. Keeping it classic, the groomsmen matched with the groom wearing smart black tuxedos.
A Fluffy Mess…
Florals for both the bouquets and reception decor focused on the brides favourite flowers. “I wanted big, fluffy and messy bouquets. I love peonies and big roses so I had a mix of those in white colours for myself. The bridesmaids had pink peonies with white roses”.
Sydney Tour…
Following a traditional ceremony at their local church, the couple and their bridal parties were able to enjoy photos in front of the incredible backdrop of Sydney Harbour. This included views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the incredible locations along Jones Bay Wharf where the reception venue was located.
Floral Heaven…
Taking place at Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf, the reception continued a modern and luxurious theme. The venue was beautifully filled with florals including large open roses, peonies, hydrangeas and dahlias. Gold foliage was added to bring an extra element of opulence. Candles were scattered around the tables to bring a vibrant and romantic light to the room. Talk about floral heaven!
The Finer Things…
Black linens and chairs created a sleek and finished look, with acrylic table numbers, menus and place settings bringing a touch of shine. Each personalised place setting was also created as a wedding favour for guests to take home as a memento. Guests were also treated to an array of decadent foods including antipasto platters, mixed seafood plates and a Lebanese mezze.
All Of The Lights…
The bride and groom described walking into the reception as one of the most memorable moments of the day. “The room was literally screaming with so much excitement and our Zaffe Team did the most incredible job in bringing our vision to life.” Walking in to ‘All Of The Lights’ by Kayne West, the couple enjoyed a coordination between a saxophone and violin duo and the Lebanese drums. “Being in the middle of the dance floor and being surrounded with so much love and happiness just made everything feel so surreal”
Dear Future Couples…
After an incredible experience planning the wedding, Chloé and Danny have some advice they wanted to share with couples currently planning their special day. “Make the process as fun as possible, compromise and work with each other. Everything works out in the end. All the time and effort you put into your big day absolutely pays off”.
