Jessica had always dreamed of a vintage wedding complete with rustic details. Using a pastel colour palette of peach, lavender, nude and pink, Jessica and Adrian, along with Lina from Chanele Rose, created the perfect day; an abundance of fresh blooms, bunting and delicate details successfully brought the vintage theme to life.
A spring-inspired colour palette was a priority for Jessica and Adrian and they were delighted with the result. “I went to a fabric store and purchased a variety of thread and created my ideal colour palette that way,” says Jessica. “Our flowers played a huge part in making our wedding day; they brought together all the theming elements and ensured a really beautiful scene.”
Jessica and Adrian were married in a gorgeous sandstone church in front of 350 guests. Small clusters of baby’s breath adorned the end of each aisle and featured in two large bunches on the altar. After the ceremony everyone enjoyed a decadent garden party under the oak tree in the church grounds. Small bunches of baby’s breath hung from the branches, the delicate bloom carrying the vintage theme from the bridal bouquets to the styling.
Jessica and her four bridesmaids carried posies of flowers in a variety of pastel shades, complemented by foliage in soft shades of green and grey. “We really wanted the warm, pastel tones to feature in the bouquets; to emphasise the spring, rustic theme,” says Jessica.
Flowers featured on the reception tables in small mason jars decorated with twine, hessian and lace. The bridal table was adorned with eight planter boxes that overflowed with roses, peonies, blushing brides and dusty miller in shades of ivory and peach.
