Rock & Roll Bride – Purple Princess Shoot

Modern Wedding Posted: September 9, 2011

Being a child of the 90’s I’m a bit partial to a little rock ‘n roll. So when this divine rock-inspired shoot hit my inbox,  I was so excited. A rock ‘n roll bride. In PURPLE, nothing less! My favourite colour. *Insert swoon here*

The styling is so fresh and fun. You can’t help but want to be at this wedding. The edgy attitude and fun, funky vibe is so chic. There’s nothing cooler than a bride being herself. And with that, I present to you…

Hmmmm, I feel cooler already! Stylist Lina Bteddini of Chanele Rose Flowers says she was inspired to create this shoot for all those offbeat brides out there. “I have always loved the colour purple personally and growing up in the 80s, the rock theme was inspired by an old time favourite love for Bon Jovi. Following blogs such as Rock N’ Roll bride has sparked a whole new era in wedding tastes and styling elements for me. For those brides who don’t want to conform to the usual run-of-the-mill wedding, and who grow queasy at the sight of the same old traditional weddings then this one’s for you!”

“A rock wedding does not need to be rough and ragged,” she says. “Simply by choosing colors like silver and purple tones we were able to create a unique and stylish approach to theme the shoot. I used ceramic vases painted in silver and a variety of textures in the cushions, the soft sweet peas and Lisianthus that were used to soften to look of all the ceramic metallic silver.” Lina is a big fan of individuality and says emphatically “I’d love to see more brides doing their wedding their way! Every couple is unique and every wedding should be too. I hope this shoot helps to inspire some offbeat brides out there to be themselves and be beautiful! It’s the little personalised details and individual style elements that everyone will still be talking about for years to come.”

What a stunning shoot! Congratulations to the amazing team who brought it to life:
