A fun yet elegant cruise around Sydney Harbour was how Brittany and Casey wanted to celebrate their marriage. Chrystal chandeliers, candelabras and white floral décor exuded glamour and class.
She said yes…
The couple met online after Casey privately messaged Brittany— however, she had just started dating someone else, ‘he told me he knew it wouldn’t last and would wait…three months later he privately messaged me again and this time I couldn’t say no’, says Brittany.
Casey proposed to Brittany while ice-skating at the Rockefeller Centre in New York City, ‘I was terrible at skating and just wanted to go out for dinner, then I turned around and he was on one knee!’
‘Then he told me to look up and a photographer had captured it all! It was amazing!’ says Brittany.
Two gowns in one…
The bride wore a strapless, mermaid gown decorated with crystals and white beading. To walk down the aisle, a ballgown skirt was worn over the dress. The skirt was then ‘removed and I surprised everyone with the underdress at the reception. Its best feature was the long train. I was in love with super long trains on wedding dresses!’ says Brittany.
Down the aisle…
The ceremony was conducted at the Garrison Church in The Rocks, Sydney. ‘We loved it because of its military history and because of how peaceful it was— placed right in the city, yet it was on this quiet little corner’, says Brittany.
A royal reception…
The couple chose to continue the party on The Starship harbour cruise. Chandeliers, draped tables and white roses and ranunculus mixed with dusty miller decorated the elegant reception. The signature display was a swinging crystal chandelier that held a spectacular donut tower.
A colour palette of white and crystal with hints of royal blue and greenery decorated the reception. The bridesmaids wore royal blue floor-length gowns and the groomsmen dressed in matching navy suits with personal touches.
Time is of the essence…
Their advice for other engaged couples is to ‘enjoy each minute of your wedding day and be in the moment because it goes by too quickly’.
