The first time I saw this beautiful E-Session from Evoke Photography, I got goosebumps. There was something about the surprise and elation captured in the photographs that made me certain it was captured in the moment. After chatting with them, I wasn’t surprised to discover that this amazing series of images was actually taken as it happened. Imagine that! The groom arranged for Evoke Photography to be present as he proposed to girlfriend Natalie.
“After many months of planning and keeping this most special moment secret from Natalie (which was surprisingly hard!) Nat and I were blessed with an amazing day in Sydney! It sounds very cliché however the day could not have been more perfect. Damien from Evoke Photography was amazing to work with and took some incredible photos. From the atmosphere of the Argentinian restaurant Boca at Darlinghurst, to capturing the feel of Sydney that night, the beauty of the engagement ring that Marcus & Co created and the most special moment of all the proposal,” said Peter.
Damien from Evoke Photography said “From the beginning we knew this was a pretty special shoot. Creating the imagery that told the story of this gorgeous occasion was what we were aiming to achieve for Peter and Nat. We had all the details of the evening in advance and we also wanted to make sure all the important elements were documented. We headed out in the afternoon and photographed the restaurant that Peter had booked, then shot the amazing sunset of the day over the harbour as they were enjoying their romantic dinner. Later in the evening, Peter had pre-arranged for us to be at the “right place at the right time”… and we were able to capture the moment as it unfolded. It was amazing!”
It takes the idea of an Engagement Shoot to a whole new level! Peter expressed it perfectly when he said “Through these photos we shared this evening with our family and friends and in the future we will be able to show our children where it all began. Nat and I can’t look at these photos without being taken back to that night. We cannot thank Damien enough, for somehow through the lense of his camera capturing the spirit of this evening perfectly.”
