The city of Sydney provides such an incredible backdrop for weddings. Nadine and Peter’s Sydney wedding is no different, they celebrated their vows in Darling Harbour with 170 of their good friends and family. A beautiful wedding with a very sweet beginning!
Nadine and Peter’s dating days were sprinkled with long rides on Peter’s vintage Vespa and leisurely picnics in the park. The couple have been inseparable since they started seeing each other in 2008. This shot below is from their divine engagement shoot. You must check the out the whole shoot!
Peter’s Vespa played a big part in their courting days, and so was given a big role at their wedding – it was dotted through the day on their wedding invitations, stationery and bomboniere. Nadine said it was very fitting that the zippy bike was tastefully included in their day.
The invitations and the bridesmaid dresses gave rise to their stunning silver and pink wedding theme. The lovely bride took pride in planning her pretty in pink wedding, “It was fantastic seeing the wedding unfold and rewarding to know that I contributed to it’s success.”
The bridesmaids were in dusty pink Grecian style draped dresses with Swarovski crystal waist belts.
Nadine’s dress was a white silk gown inspired by an Oscar De La Renta design, covered in lace teamed with Swarovski beading and an embellished belt with a long train designed by Maria Fellas from Emoda Couture. “The dress was my dream dress – I felt like a fairy tale princess! I didn’t want to take it off!”
The four tiered wedding cake was designed by Faye Cahill and included words to a love song written by Peter with a silhouette of a couple dancing on the top tier.
Nadine tells us that “being whisked away at the end of our perfect day/night by a vintage Italian Wooden speedboat on Darling Harbour to our hotel… was so romantic and a fantastic way for just the two of us to reflect on our wonderful day”.
The Sydney wedding was held at Dockside Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour… perfect for their water way getaway.
The couple chose Moonen Creative to take their photos, they are a Sydney photography, design and marketing studio and the head photographer is Nadine’s brother’s friend. Nadine was taken with their motto: ‘We love life, the outdoors and love to inspire.”
Special moments from the bride:
” My father walking me down the aisle was a moment that will stay with me forever.
The entertainment: To honour the bride’s Lebanese heritage, our reception entrance included drums and belly dancers and it set a tone of happiness and celebration. We also arranged to have a comedian/magician as part of our entertainment which was enjoyable both for the adults and children who attended. The Groom got to drive his Uncle’s brand new Ferrari to the church
We went to the Lord Nelson hotel for a drink or two at the rocks and this was a fun way calm the nerves and get some amazing pictures.
It rained a little on our wedding day but this did not dampen our spirit. The photos turned out better than expected.”
