A few weeks ago we joined the Bells N Whistles team, headed up by director Jennifer Kennedy, at the new InterContinental Double Bay for the launch of their new ‘The Best of Both Worlds’ destination weddings offering. Read on to see how Bells N Whistles are making destination weddings easy…

The Best of Both Worlds allows couples to enjoy the full destination wedding experience without the additional stress that planning a wedding away from home creates for couples, taking the guesswork out of planning a destination wedding by offering the same award winning, premium service that Bells N Whistles are renowned for, in regional, interstate or overseas destinations.
Director of Bells N Whistles, Jennifer Kennedy says couples choose destination weddings for various reasons. Sometimes they are looking for something outside the box while in other cases it’s a financial decision, with some venues offering competitive pricing compared to city weddings. “A destination wedding can offer couples something with a bit of wow factor, exotic, relaxing or even cultural,” she says. “Our goal is to provide the same service, the same options and the same level of styling and planning that we would for a Sydney-based wedding. We truly offer our couples the best of both worlds.”

Ms Kennedy highlights that one of the biggest struggles of planning a destination wedding is the unfamiliar and a limited choice of venues and suppliers. As a wedding stylist and planner with almost twenty years of experience she knows what makes a good supplier and also the warning signals of a bad one and therefore won’t work anywhere she hasn’t seen, experienced and approved of personally. “I’m a perfectionist and by trialling venues and suppliers myself, I can confidently say I am offering the highest quality service possible to ensure your wedding is perfect,” she said. “I don’t want couples to regret not having the best wedding because they left it to someone they’ve never met. Call in the experts, we know what to look for and we’ll take care of all of the details.”

While finding destination venues to work with is an ongoing task, The Best of Both Worlds currently has affiliations with venues in Sydney, NSW’s Hunter Valley and Southern Highlands along with the luxurious InterContinental Fiji and Huka Lodge in Taupo, New Zealand to name a few. Ms Kennedy says she chooses to work with these venues as they offer a unique experience and service that aligns with the Bells N Whistles brand. “The result is a great synergy and we are able to produce a wonderful wedding experience for our couples,” she said. “This project has been a long time in the making and I am so proud to offer The Best of Both Worlds – Bells N Whistles style.”
