You Have To See This Trend If You Are Planning A Garden Wedding

Modern Wedding Posted: February 18, 2019

We love a garden wedding here at Modern Wedding. With vibrant florals, stunning greenery and the romance of nature, what’s not to love? Flower chandeliers have been rising in popularity over the last couple of years and we are crushing hard on this garden wedding trend. Here are all the reasons we are loving flower chandeliers.

Wow Factor…

A hanging floral arrangement is a great replacement for more traditional chandelier lighting or tabletop flowers and are a great way to add visual interest to your wedding. They add instant wow factor to your ceremony or reception.

Green Focus…

To really give that nod to nature, it’s hard to go past a flower chandelier that has an emphasis on greenery and foliage. Greenery works well with any colour scheme and will be a stand out piece without overshadowing the rest of the decor.

Splash Of Colour…

Garden weddings are all about adding colour to your celebration and there is no better way to do than than with a flower chandelier. Extending your colour theme above the tables adds an extra element of luxury to your wedding.

Blooms For Days…

If luscious florals are more your style over greenery and foliage, go all out with blooms. This will make your flower chandelier even more impressive. A bloom focused installation gives off major fairytale vibes and will make any bride feel like she is living out all her princess fantasies.

Rustic Vibes…

To add a bit of rustic charm to your garden wedding, look no further than a flower chandelier. The flowers are typically arranged on a pre-made structure. This can be made out of a variety of materials. Incorporating timber or metal can make your flowers pop more, creating an art installation rather than simply a wedding decoration.

Floral Waterfall…

To add a unique twist to your flower chandelier, consider having some of your flowers cascading down. Flowers that are prone to a cascading shape, such as orchids, create cohesion between your chandelier and centrepieces.

Ceremony Chic…

While most people would expect to see a flower chandelier at the reception, they can add an extra wow factor to your ceremony too. Creating this centrepiece will draw all the attention to where you and your partner say I do. We can’t think of anything more special than that!

Romantic Reception…

Your reception is the place where a flower chandelier really gets the chance to shine. Typically placed above the tables, these arrangements make sure that the garden wedding theme is present, even if you move to an indoor setting.

Boogie Wonderland…

Really top off your garden wedding with an extravagant flower chandelier over the middle of your dance floor. This will make sure no part of your wedding is left untouched by the soft romance that nature provides. A centrepiece like this will keep your guests dancing for hours.

Floral on Floral…

Is one floral feature not enough at your wedding? If you can’t get enough of opulent floral arrangements, consider adding a flower wall to your ceremony or reception. Having a flower chandelier and flower wall together gives you the chance to showcase all your favourite colours and blooms in a variety of ways. If this idea is for you, see our flower wall wedding inspo here.
