It’s so easy for couples to become overwhelmed which can add unnecessary stress to what should be one o the most enjoyable times of their lives. The solution? A wedding planner and stylist!

We take a look at a Emily and Peter’s wedding and chat to Jennifer about how her team turned a couple’s wedding dreams into a reality.
MW: What did Emily and Peter want for their wedding?
JM: When I met with Emily and Peter, they wanted an amazing styled wedding, with the best food and a lot of entertainment. They wanted their guests to have the best night ever. It is exactly what happened based on the number of guests on the dance floor the whole night where they stayed right until the end!
MW: What was your inspiration when coming up with the styling?
JM: The inspiration mainly came from the bride who had been looking through Pinterest for quite a while. Together with Maria Lush floral designer who did a table mock up, the vase options and minor details were confirmed. We then worked with the bride to compile the minor details like menu place cards from Natalie by Design and spot lighting.
MW: What is your favourite part of the wedding from a style point of view?
JM: I absolutely loved working with the bride and Maria Lush in seeing all the centrepieces and backdrop of the bridal table together.
MW: What was your favourite part of the day and how did you help make it happen?
JM: The best part of the day for me, which is why I love wedding planning, is seeing all the formalities happening perfectly and on time, so there were no surprises. I also loved seeing Maria Lush work her magic in bringing the florals together to complete the look. I also loved working with the two bands to make sure everyone was up and dancing. By the end of the night, all the guests had a smile on the faces, including the couple.
MW: What is your advice for couples who are planning their day?
JM: I would recommend all couples to hire a helper, such as wedding planner on the day to ensure everything that has been agreed on whether it be the styling, the suppliers or just ensuring the couple are well fed and not stressing. That extra help is well worth it and one of the best investments.
MW: And what did the couple think…
JM: I’ll let them speak for themselves…
“We had the wedding of our dreams this January and it will be a day that I remember for the rest of my life! We both had a vision of what we wanted – a big wedding with all of our family and friends, amazing food and décor and a lot of entertainment. We decided on our venue and most of our suppliers reasonably early on, but as it came closer to the big day I started to realise how much more work there was to bring it all together! Not to mention the smaller details that I had overlooked.
That’s when we contacted Jennifer to be our wedding coordinator. Jennifer is organised, honest and open. Rather than try to sell you something, she is there to make what you have work. She is well known and respected in the bridal industry and has a lot of experience and knowledge about the things we knew nothing about. Plus she helped save money through her connections and advice.
Jennifer’s work in the lead up to our wedding saved me time and headache. Everything she does is behind the scenes, but makes the day run smoothly. She’s not about “more is more” but about working with what you want to create an amazing event. Although we had done most of the planning, it really took her organisation and vision to make it work. And even when things didn’t go exactly according to the schedule (nothing ever really runs on time!), Jennifer was there to make sure that everything still went along seamlessly.
