Taking Care Of Your Skin: A Necessary Process

Modern Wedding Posted: August 12, 2020

Our skin plays one of the most critical roles in our bodies. It protects the rest of the body from harm, so, it’s essential we take care of it. Every minute of the day, our skin is changing – from cell loss to sun exposure. By looking after it, we not only allow the skin to keep doing its job, but it will also help us to look and feel healthier and more confident. We went straight to skincare expert Dr. Daniel Lanzer to find out exactly how you should be caring for your skin!

The Expert…

Dr. Daniel Lanzer has over 25 years’ experience in cosmetic enhancement and has performed thousands of procedures, both surgical and non-invasive. He has worked with more than 20,000 patients and has transformed their skin and boosted their confidence. We asked Dr. Lanzer for his best skincare advice, and he shared the following tips!

Cleanse…

Regardless of if you wear make-up, your skin is prone to pollution, oils, chemicals, and dead skin cells every day, so you must cleanse it. This will help to clear your pores of dirt, bacteria, make-up, and other impurities, leaving your skin feeling and looking fresh.

Serums & Eye Cream…

Serums are a lightweight moisturiser that adds antioxidants, replenishing and restoring ingredients to the skin. They also include a high concentration of active ingredients, including Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. Using serums after you cleanse can help with dry skin, wrinkles, acne, and general hydration in the skin. Also effective on wrinkles, eye creams can protect the sensitive skin around the eyes from dryness, fatigue, and puffiness. When used together, serums and eye creams can help keep your face looking and feeling fresh.

Moisturising…

By using a quality moisturiser on your face and body, you can help prevent damage to your skin that is generally caused by dryness or oiliness. By moisturising, you can also help to prevent wrinkles, keep your complexion clear, prevent acne, and protect your skin from the elements. Using a moisturiser that has SPF can also help to prevent sun exposure and skin cancer.

Professional Skincare Treatments…

If you want to enhance any of the above, you might consider professional treatments, such as those at Dr. Lanzer’s Medi Day Spa. These treatments allow you to truly nurture your skin with clinically proven, effective ingredients that are designed to complement your daily skin regime.

You can choose from a full range of options, including the dermasweep, which is a deep cleansing facial treatment that exfoliates and refreshes the skin. There’s also the option of microdermabrasion to help clear clogs and congestions and skin needling, which stimulates collagen production. You also might consider the Dermapen if you want to rejuvenate your skin or help to heal scarring. Other useful options include skin tightening (non-surgical facelift), laser rejuvenation, acid peels to clear acne and lighten pigmentation, or Enerjet, which uses compressed air and fillers to plump up the skin.

Dr. Lanzer has a full range of non-invasive treatments in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. Get in touch today and book a no-obligation, free consultation to keep your skin looking and feeling amazing, well into the future.
