Chris and Chelsea’s reception look was created with simple styling, ivy centrepieces, giant love letters and festoon lights hanging above the outdoor dance floor.

Reception décor..
We really went nice and simple with the tables. They were so narrow and we weren’t able to double them as the room was too narrow. So just simple ivy down the middle of the tables of the guests and then a thicker mix of greenery and some white roses and flowers between for the bridal table. Decorations wise everything on the day was all my own purchases here & there and little touches to complete the look.
The cake…
A wonderful friend of mine who has just stared a cake business I was lucky enough for her to design and create my cake which was amazing.
The flowers…
The flowers were provided by local florist Bacchus Marsh Florist. They’re hip and young and very reasonably priced. It was a great mix.
On the menu…
We had a sit down menu which was important to us to enjoy the time taking it all in. We had Crab aranchini & scallops for entrée choices, Barramundi & slow cooked lamb shoulder for main, then a roaming dessert combination.
Bomboniere…
We had personalised cookies with all the guests first names individually with our logo which was on all our invites and save the dates. They were a beautiful touch and we think really made it a personalised gift (delicious one).
Memorable moments…
I think my most memorable time was our send off close to 12am everyone gathering around together in a circle to send us off filled with so much joy and overwhelmed with happiness the atmosphere was just incredible something I’ll never forget!!
Wedding soundtrack…
Walking down the aisle: A Thousand Years by Chrsitina Peri
Reception entry: Lovesick by Mura Masa
First dance: You Make it Real by James Morrison
Dance floor hit: I’m Coming Out by Dianna Ross

The honeymoon…
We went to Bali for eight days just after the wedding.
Future plans…
We are currently channelling our energy into our new home we are building currently just waiting for our weatherboards to be put on. We can’t wait to move into this property and begin our next chapter together. We look forward to working on some projects houses, property as our passion together but first settling into our house & creating a home.
In 40 years you hope to…
Have a wonderful 5 acre property together hopefully visited by our 2, maybe 3, kids and I am assuming by that time grandchildren (omg that’s scary). Contently happy with a life filled with experiences and stories to tell.

The engagement…
Enjoy the elation & joy this time brings to you and those around you. It’s a time for you all to share in this special time.
Planning…
You have plenty of time to plan, many things can be booked down the track. I jumped the gun on many things booking too early and then decided to change suppliers/ideas which were more aligned to my day. I think I was so worried about “missing out” that I wanted to book EVERYTHING. I would recommend first thing photographer and celebrant meet them, have them give you ideas for the schedule for your day and what works (they’ve done this 1 million times over) and they know what works. Then use that as a template to work on from there.
