Coastal chic white wedding adds an air of elegance to any wedding and is a favourite for many brides. The versatility of a white colour scheme was highlighted in one of our favourite shoots from our last issue of Modern Wedding (volume 64) which showcases gorgeously styled white bohemian, modern and beach weddings. A white wedding also allows you to add subtle interest by layering white details, add drama through a pop of colour or accentuate the beautiful views of your venue.
The phenomenal coastal views boasted by Mantra Sun City Resort in Surfers Paradise were flaunted in this styled shoot through the use of a simple styling and a fresh white theme. The venue’s interior architecture features clean lines and minimal detail which allows the focus to remain on the ocean views which are framed by wall to ceiling windows. Sheer white and cream curtains make the most of the light and add softness to the room. The stylists at Sugar & Spice Events kept the focus on the views by using a white furniture and fabric throughout and using ocean inspired decor.
In the ceremony area, two gold posts were topped with silver lanterns in beds of white flowers and fresh green leaves and presided over rows of chairs tied with hessian ribbon.
Table centrepieces used the same lanterns and flowers and were adorned with driftwood, sea glass and engraved clay ornaments. Wooden table numbers, white table cloth and clean glass tableware kept the look clean, airy and simple.
Small coastal accents such as clusters of seashells, starfish and driftwood were mixed in with tea lights and floating candles around the tables and venue to add interest to the modest styling.
Keeping it simple with white is a great way to showcase your gorgeous venue. Love the white colour scheme? See more white weddings here.
