Wanting to combine a country setting with a dash of luxury, Kim and Sam planned the dreamiest wedding day set amongst the rolling hills of country Victoria.
Those Three Little Words…
Sam and Kim met at the local pub, with Kim’s dinner choice of a large Parmigiana grabbing Sam’s attention. From the moment they met, this gorgeous couple knew there was a spark. After exchanging numbers and Sam wooing Kim over, the couple fell head over heels for each other. When asked when she knew it was love, Kim tells us “I knew pretty early on, though I composed myself and played it cool until he said those famous three words. After that, I would tell him I love him a hundred times a day”.
They Call It Puppy Love…
Whilst coming home to visit Sam for lunch one day, Kim noticed something attached to the harnesses of her dogs, Alfie and Frankie. As the wind swept past them, she noticed two white balloons with Sam’s handwriting spin around with the words ‘will you’ and ‘marry me‘. After a moment of squealing, Kim walked into the house and saw him on one knee with a gorgeous ring. “It was the most perfect proposal I could have ever hoped for. So authentic and just ‘us’ and our fur babies”. Their dogs later joined into the wedding ceremony, walking down the aisle with balloons once again.
A Little Bit Country…
The theme of the day was designed to reflect the personality of the couple with a ‘country meets luxury’ idea weaved throughout. With the background of the rolling hills bringing the perfect rustic atmosphere to the day, the couple added their own personal touches of luxury. The day was flawlessly captured by White Lane Studio, with a feeling of authenticity and fun being a main focus.
Shimmering Detail…
The bride wore a custom designed creation by Pallas Couture. The fitted silhouette style gown was coated with dramatic beading and textured lace, with a plunging sweetheart neckline tying the look together. Adding a bit of sparkle to the evening, the bride changed into another Pallas Couture gown for the reception, coated in crystal beading for the ultimate after party style. Matching with the luxurious theme of the wedding, Sam sported a smart black tuxedo with a matching bow tie.
Five By My Side…
The couple were joined by five bridesmaids and five groomsmen. Making the event a breeze, Kim’s sister played both maid of honour and event planner. She was joined by Kim’s cousin and three closest friends. Each were dressed in a romantic pale pink tone, with the off the shoulder detail and floor length style adding a beautiful touch of elegance. Sam had his brother standing by his side, as well as four of his dearest friends. Each were dressed in matching suits to the groom, giving a classic and charming to the bridal party.
The Great Outdoors…
The outdoor ceremony was held in a paddock belonging to Sam’s family, located near Mount Buffalo in country Victoria. The thriving acreage and crisp green tones created the perfect backdrop for the couple to say I do. Being one of their favourite spots to explore, it only seemed right to began their married like there. The style was kept simple and classic, with white chairs and florals to match, all tied into the natural green theme layered throughout.
Black And Gold…
The couple celebrated in style with a stunning marquee reception. Following the theme of country luxe, the reception was filled with crisp whites, bright greens and a scattering of gold and black detail. Fresh and elegant flowers cascaded down the centre of the marquee with fairy lights draped from the centre to the side.
Dance The Night Away…
No expense was spared, “we wanted our guests to enjoy the day as much as we did” reveals Kim. “We wanted each detail at our wedding to be personable and memorable”. Following a decadent sit down dinner, the dance floor became the place to be! The couple were even lucky enough to have their friend Blake Morgan from The Voice performing an acoustic set.
Take A Moment…
Kim remembers the most memorable moment of her day was seeing her husband to be at the end of the aisle. “The moment I locked eyes with Sam, I instantly went from a ball or nerves, to so at ease and incredibly happy”. The couple’s best advice? ‘Enjoy the moments with your bridal party while getting ready. Have a laugh, have a cry, have a dance. Also make sure that you and your husband get a little moment with each other to take it all in. It’s truly the best day of your life’.
