Modern Wedding spoke with Momento about creating your own wedding invitations – you’ll be surprised how easy (and fun!) it is!
Do you have a creative side or enjoy a bit of DIY design? Why not have fun then, designing your wedding stationery with your own photos and text, combined with the stylish layouts and embellishments available in the Momento software. Momento makes it easy to create all the prints you’ll need for your big day, from wedding invitations, to album and thank you cards, and you get to impress your friends at the same time.
These days many weddings are styled by colour or graphical theme that links the bridesmaid dresses, bouquets and décor, and in this blog we’ll show you how Momento’s software allows you to coordinate it with your wedding invitations and entire wedding stationery set too.
‘Modern Wedding’ is just one of many embellishment packs in the free software filled with backgrounds, borders and graphical headings, but they’re specifically for wedding cards and albums. It uses a lemon, grey and white colour palette but you can change the colour scheme by using the Hue/Saturation slider in the Tools Panel.
To create your design, just drag-and-drop items from the Embellishments Panel, and your photographs from the Photos Panel, on to the front or inside of your card, then type in your personalised text to create a professional-looking engagement or Save The Date cards, wedding invitations, RSVP or thank you note.
Greeting Cards come in 9 different sizes, in packs of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and they come with thick, premium envelopes. You have two paper options. A creamy textured Art paper for a romantic touch, and a versatile Matte option that’s perfect for a contemporary look. Small cards make great name place tags while Jumbo’s have lots of space for the Order of Service or Menu.
Don’t just create cards, think about some books too. There’s an increasing trend for personalised wedding reception Guestbooks filled with the couple’s favourite photos, so guests can leave a special message or words of wisdom for the bride and groom. Using the lined pages and decorations in the ‘Modern Wedding’ pack will ensure the design is coordinated with the cards too.
Then there’s the Wedding Album! To keep the design style flowing, choose the same backgrounds as your cards, and add our Bride, Groom, Bridesmaid or Groomsmen headings to introduce the main ‘cast’ for your celebration. For the ultimate presentation choose a Grand Deluxe leather cover with a frosted fly page, pearl end paper, Kodak Digital paper and a matching presentation box starring the bride and groom on the cover.
As a truly unique thank you to your parents and bridal party, why not print them a Regular or Small size version of your wedding album with a personalised title page and printed photo cover. They’ll love you forever.
