Before every great MAFS wedding comes a great MAFS hens party. One half of the crowd favourite couple from iconic television series Married At First Sight, Jules Robinson, shares all the details of her gorgeous and hilarious event sailing Sydney Harbour. She could only describe it as “the best day ever!”

Girls Get Glam…
Starting off the day, the group of 22 of Jules’ nearest and dearest got all glammed up at Blow Bar in Balmain with a full hair and makeup pampering experience. Accompanied by espresso martinis, champagne, cheese plates, a topless waiter and a DJ, Jules and her girlfriends had the whole place to themselves. The lovely bride happily claims there is “no better way to start the day.”
A Crowning Moment…
To add to the girly glitz, Jules was surprised at Blow Bar with a crown she had previously had her eye on and had mentioned to an old friend how perfect it would be. Jules’ said the crown didn’t come off her head until very late in the evening. “It’s so fab, I can’t wait to wear it again,” she said.
Pretty In Pink…
Out on Sydney Harbour, her guests dressed in a classic and classy all-white theme, with flowing dresses and summer hats. However, the bride-to-be wore a baby pink top covered in jewels (very punny) to stand out. Jules said the theme made photos look so beautiful with everyone “looking fresh”.
Pop The Question…
Jules’ friends organised a hilarious question and answer game for Jules on how well she knew her soon-to-be husband. They had interviewed Cam on his favourite things about Jules; saying that “she makes me laugh every day” was one of her best qualities. The extra details of personalised shot glasses and monogrammed C and J cupcakes made for a beautiful and personal experience.
Firey Surprise…
In true hens party style, a dancer dressed as a fireman arrived on a water taxi as a surprise for Jules, who described it as an “incredible magic mike performance”. She went on to say that the 30-minute show was one of the funniest experiences of her life, with a whole boat of friends laughing and loving every second of it.
One To Remember…
Aboard the stunning boat Entourage, poke bowls were served for lunch with De Bortoli wines and more champagne. But, besides the delicious foods and drink, just being surrounded by all her great friends was Jules’ favourite part of the day. She particularly loved dancing around on the harbour, and “would happily do the day all over again”.
Friends Know You Best…
Jules’ best advice for the most fun and memorable MAFS hens party is that the beauty lies in the surprise. Encouraging your friends to organise it makes the whole event so much more special. She said she loved trusting her friends and their choices to make it a fabulous day. But, she also encourages being prepared in advance and recommends to “make sure you’ve got some vitamins and water on hand for the next day!”
