2019 was a year of ups and downs. Lucky for us, love seemed to be in the air, giving hope for all of us! Through it all, 2019 seemed to be the year of love. Here are our favourite moments of love from the last part of the decade!

KEEPING UP WITH THE JONAS’…
2019 saw the expansion of the Jonas family. Both Joe and Nick both became married men this year when Joe married the beautiful Sophie Turner, and Nick marrying the gorgeous Priyanka Chopra. Now that all the Jo-Bros are happily married, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for each couple! Maybe some cousins for Kevin’s daughters…?

ROYAL ADDITION…
On the 6th of May this year, Meghan and Harry welcomed baby Archie into the world. Within the first year of their marriage, they expanded their family, with Archie as a physical symbol of their love and devotion to each other. We know this new, young family has a whole lotta love for each other!

This year, Netflix and the theatres brought us many great romcoms. Something Great, Isn’t It Romantic, Always Be My Maybe, Last Christmas, Five Feet Apart, and more! The theme of diversity influenced film in all aspects, so did the diversity of love. Relationships, friendships, and family of all cultures and identities. This year was the year of self-love and going after what truly makes you happy, romantically or platonically.

SECOND TIME’S A CHARM…
Hailey and Justin were legally married in 2018. However, the pair finally hosted a wedding celebration with their closest friends and family to celebrate their union. Hailey’s veil even featured “‘Till death do us part”, a symbol of their everlasting love for each other.

Will they, won’t they? Are they, aren’t they? Shawn and Camila have clearly had something between them the entire time but 2019 brought them together as a couple. For real this time! Sparks were flying in their Senorita music video, and it turns out the chemistry is very, very real. Couple goals already!

LEA’S HAPPILY EVER AFTER…
You can’t wipe the smile off your face seeing how happy Lea Michelle and Zandy Reich look after tying the knot. The pair wed in March this year during a romantic ceremony, surrounded by their closest family and friends. We love seeing our favourite celebs finally get their happy ending.

UNITED INTERNET LOVE…
Everyone online came together this year to show this adorable puppy some extra love! Narwhal, the super cute puppy, was born with a secondary tail in the middle of his head and is being cared for by Mac’s Mission Rescue Centre. All this extra attention is amazing not just for this little guy, but for all the other animals looking to get adopted. This viral feel-good moment helped raise awareness of this rescue centre’s incredible work.

Our fave Aussie Bachelor Matty J announced his engagement to winner Laura Byrne in April this year. A few months later in June, they welcomed their baby girl Marlie-Mae Johnson. The cutest addition to our favourite Bachelor couple!

DUA’S STARTING NOW…
So much speculation has surrounded this celebrity duo throughout 2019. But after both splitting from their respective partners, we couldn’t be happier to see Dua Lipa and Anwar Hadid have found love with each other. Their relationship involves lots of PDA such as this adorable moment between the pair captured at the British Summer Time Hyde Park music festival in London.

BECKHAM’S 20TH ANNIVERSARY…
July 4th marks two decades of love for the Beckham’s. The pair celebrated by taking to Instagram, gushing over one another with heartfelt messages. Sharing some of their favourite throwback photos and videos really took us on a trip down memory lane.

You’ll need to grab some tissues because we can’t handle how sweet this is! 5-year-old Michael wanted all this kindergarten classmates to be there when he was officially adopted. Viewing them as his extended family, the room was filled with love as everyone excitedly waved pink and red paper hearts to celebrate this beautiful family.

2019 was the year Jennifer Lawrence said “I do”! Marrying art dealer Cooke Maroney in a private mansion on Rhode Island, the pair had clearly wanted to tie the knot for a while. J-Law said in an interview back in June, “He’s my best friend, so I want to legally bind him to me forever.” And we’re so glad they did!

Kate Austin posted a tweet of her proposal, asking Ellen DeGeneres to walk her down the aisle to marry her fiancé Sarah Sulsenti. Not expecting the tweet to go viral, the happy couple soon found themselves as guests on The Ellen DeGeneres Show! Sarah decided to use this opportunity to surprise Kate by proposing in front of all their loved ones and their “biggest role model”.
