This Hamptons styled wedding was held at Villa Capistrano on the Gold Coast’s prestigious Panorama. As guests arrived, they were greeted with a cool glass of bubbly, before decending an elegant staircase to mingle before the formalities began. The ceremony boasted walnut Tiffany chairs, pastel floral arrangements and incredible views. Afterwards, guests were wined and dined around the pool with jam jar cocktails and seafood canapés, while listening to laid back RnB.
The reception was set on the tennis court with sweeping views of the Gold Coast skyline and out to the ocean. Our fairylight frame was decked out with white paper lanterns and white draping. Tables were adorned with white and pastel florals, rattan charger plates and white linen. The clever bride hand poured scented candles for wedding favours with a personalised tag for each guest.

The Meeting…
We met at a bar in Brisbane through a mutual friend 🙂
Love…
I knew it was love not long after we met to be honest, we definitely had an instant connection when we first met so it wasn’t long before we were hanging out like best friends, it did take a while before we became ‘official’ though, we stayed friends for a few good months!
The Proposal…
We got engaged on the 15th of October 2012, it wasn’t anything fancy, but we were about to commence our big move from Brisbane to Sydney, driving down I was 7 months pregnant, we stopped at Rainbow Bay on the Gold Coast for a picnic, he played a song we both love and then got down on one knee, it was beautiful because we were overlooking the ocean and about to start our new life together as a family and in our new home, it was the perfect time!
The Dress…
My wedding gown was absolutely gorgeous and made by the amazing Steven Khalil. It was made with beautiful lace and beading for the bodice and tulle for the skirt with a beautiful ruffled train. It was custom made and designed, my inspiration came from pictures of Steven’s gowns.
Bridesmaids…
My gorgeous bridesmaids wore a Natasha Milani nude strapless dress.
Groomsmen…
Our groomsmen wore suits from MJ Bale.
Wedding Flowers…
Soft and whimsical, loosely structured poseys in dreamy colours of white, creams, pastels and a hint of pink.

Wedding Photography…
Van Middleton was recommended by our wedding planner and we loved his work. He has an awesome knack for catching those candid, emotion filled moments perfectly, which is what we were looking for.
Wedding Songs…
All of the music was jazz and old school RnB which we both loved! Feature songs included:
- Bridal Procession – Oh how I wish – Knova / Fiji
- Recessional – Can’t take my eyes off you – Lauryn Hill
- “Tennis Court” by Lorde – when guests were asked to take their seats for the reception
- Bridal Party grand entrance song – Let’s get married – Jagged Edge
- Bride & Groom First Dance – All of me – John Legend
Honeymoon…
We are yet to honeymoon! My husband plays rugby league so we didn’t get much time after our wedding to go somewhere as he had to be back training but there is plenty of time!
The future…
We have lots of plans for the future, travel and buying another property, but for the moment just enjoying time as husband and wife and with our beautiful little boy Nixon, and our little girl who is due in July.
