Vintage, Colourful and Classic Country Wedding Style

There’s a certain sense of romance that comes with the open spaces and slow pace of the country. It’s no wonder couples are opting for a weekend escape to the country for their wedding! The Southern Highlands of New South Wales is blessed with golden rolling hills, crisp country air and a myriad of cottages and estates that you can celebrate your wedding in. Photographer Andrew Szopory travelled to the recently updated Southern Highlands Wines to shoot the idyllic location which showcases three of our favourite appropriations of the country theme – vintage, colourful and classic!

V I N T A G E

Mix and match chairs, vintage rugs and brass decor pepper the outdoor ceremony and reception area. The eclectic props, wild bouquet and fashion styling pop against simple yet chic table settings. The vintage character of the shoot is perfectly balanced with the open space and simple styling which keeps the look from appearing too cluttered and busy.

C O L O U R F U L

Nothing says ‘celebrate’ like a healthy dash of colour! We love the pops of bright colour that the florals and bottles add. The Grand Pavilion is an enchanting permanent marquee that overlooks the picturesque valley and is the perfect blank canvas for a playfully styled reception. Floral selections are wild and when pared with the raw wooden tables and seats creates a playful rustic feel. Vintage suitcases and pretty foliage installations create the perfect frame for the all important bridal table.

C L A S S I C

A palette of white, pink and a hint of sparkle is perfect for creating a classic country wedding feel. Styling is kept minimal and elegant to keep the focus on the stunning surrounds. Fresh pink flowers and a glistening golden table cloth add just the right amount of fun to the look while keeping it elegant over all. We love the finishing touch of outdoor festoon lights to create a whimsical feel at as the sun sets over the fields.
