You may recognise the stunning Jasmine Tookes from the Victoria’s Secret runway, and it looks like she’ll be strutting down a different aisle very soon! The model has just announced her engagement to fiancé Juan David Borrero and we need a moment to obsess over the proposal story…and the ring!

The Happy Couple…
Tookes and Borrero and have been together since 2016 so fans weren’t shocked when it was announced that they were getting ready to tie the knot. Borrero, who is the Director of International Markets at Snapchat, just happens to work with none other than model Miranda Kerr’s husband Evan Spiegel! You’ll recognise Tookes from incredible modeling campaigns such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and of course, Victoria’s Secret!
The Story…
This is one seriously amazing proposal story! Jasmine was whisked away on a surprise trip with just two hours notice from her now fiancé! While on the way to their first destination, she was blindfolded and led to where the couple first met – the Rose Cafe in Venice, California. From here, the couple headed straight to the airport to hop on a plane where the model’s favourite snacks were waiting (Popeye’s chicken and champagne… same girl!). The plane soon landed in Arizona, where they boarded a helicopter (!!) which flew to the most breathtaking, secluded spot in the middle of the desert in Utah. It was here that they sat to enjoy the scenery, accompanied by champagne and charcuterie. Soon after, they strolled to a lookout spot where ‘WYMM?’ was spelled out in rocks.
It Gets Better…
It doesn’t stop there! The model told Vogue “As I was processing this, I heard a drone flying from above which had a string hanging from it with a small black pouch below. This is how the ring was delivered to him. As the drone approached, he reached into the pouch pulled out the box, and went on one knee. I was in complete disbelief and immediately burst into tears because this was something I did not expect. After lots of happy tears, I obviously said yes, and this was honestly the best day I could’ve ever imagined.”
The Bling…
“Si, mi amor! We’re engaged!!!” was the caption that accompanied the Instagram announcement, with the gorgeous ring taking centre stage in the photo! The Ritani design features a 7-carat, oval-cut diamond set in 12k yellow gold. The stunner also includes a hidden halo and diamond-embellished prongs. Rumour has it, the ring is worth an incredible $250,000! Excuse us while we just stare at for a while…
Fellow Angels…
Tookes joins Victoria Secret’s angels Jourdan Dunn, Martha Hunt, and fellow JoJa co-founder Josephine Skriver who are all currently engaged! It’s expected that the couple will say ‘I do’ in the groom’s hometown in Ecuador but a date is yet to be confirmed! Safe to say, we cannot wait to see this angel tie the knot!
